Why my contents were not working?
No views? No comments? No reach? Why?
Those were my questions in my head since 2012 up to this day. Why? Okay. You might be thinking, that this article will not be helpful.
Who will be interested?
Well, if you will not read this, you might end up like me, asking and formulating theories.
How to make people interested?
Like you are already 1,000,000th person writing/creating a content about any of your desired subjects or topics.
Take a deep breathe and I will tell you why.
1. It was vague
- My message was vague. My blog helloavie, started 2012 and it took me a year to get responses, likes and comments. It was a
Lifestyle blog + anything random= DISASTER
Why?
Because the lifestyle niche is overcrowded and very hard to stand out. The tagline, “anything random”, speaks to itself that it is indeed vague, no specific topics, interests at all.
2. Not socializing
Okay, imagine yourself, you want to introduce yourself but you didn’t ask anybody’s name at the room. Makes sense? Truth.
Before people get to know you, you have to know them first!
CASE STUDY
It happened to me. I wrote a blogpost about a Singaporean jewelry brand. Because I love their designs ( I wasn’t paid or nothing in return). I just adore their brand and posted it.
Guess what? 1 single post? I got 45 comments, 35 reblogs and followers!
3. You are a copycat!
If you are a Marilyn Monroe and trying to be an Audrey Hepburn. Got it? Not everyone can be a Marilyn Monroe. You cannot be an Audrey Hepburn too. You are your OWN PERSON.
Be unique and let it shine!
4. Not using hashtags/captions/ and so much more
It is like saying something in a room and not knowing where you will say it. You need that #fashion, #personalstyle, #and whatever your topic is.
